The Successful First Active Wellness Retreat

Wellness Retreat, held from 9 May to 12 May 2024. This exclusive retreat is tailored for
individuals who are seeking to take better care of their health and well-being. The retreat has
gained massive success with all the available slots being sold out, marking the first
comprehensive three-day four-night wellness retreat in Bandung.
The Active Wellness Retreat is a testament to The Gaia Hotel's brand pillar of Active/Rest.
Participants in the retreat embarked on a journey of exploration, discovery, and understanding,
guided by experts in sports, medicine, nutrition, and mental health. The program has been
meticulously designed to cater to individuals at every fitness level, from beginners to advanced
enthusiasts.
The Retreat was not just about exercise; it was about embracing a more well-rounded approach
to wellness that encompasses fitness, nutritional, and mental health strategies and practices, as
well as opportunities to rest, rejuvenate and regenerate.
Throughout the four-day, three-night retreat, guests were engaging in a variety of enriching
activities. From two choices of personalized consultations on nutrition, body make-up and
personal training, to 16 choices of morning exercise and night relaxation sessions, massage
therapy, and hands-on workshops in perfume making, photography and terrarium planting.
Every moment during the Active Wellness Retreat has been curated to inspire, educate, empower
and enable.
The Gaia Hotel Bandung has partnered with wellness consultants, including Singapore-based
wellness consultancy Actxa Wellness, as well as Lif, Indonesia’s first tech-based employee
wellness solutions, to ensure that participants have access to cutting-edge wellness technologies
and solutions. Furthermore, the retreat was also supported by Clinical Dietitian and Sport
Nutritionist Emilia E. Achmadi, Bandung-based wellness centre The Sanctuary, and more. The
Gaia Hotel Bandung believes in providing the guests with tools and knowledge that they can
carry forward beyond their stay with the hotel. Notable personalities such as Rima Melati Adams
and Erick Limans were also part of the retreat, offering valuable perspectives and interactive
sessions.
With rates starting from IDR 13.8 million per room for double occupancy, inclusive of a fitness
tracker device that guests could use during the retreat and bring home, as well as many benefits
and offers to enjoy after the retreat, guests also had the opportunity to explore the natural beauty
of Bandung through a field trip to a tea plantation and waterfall. The successful Active Wellness
