Mindbrewing 2026

Food & Craft \

In line with its ongoing commitment to creating collaborative spaces within the coffee industry, Inspira Roasters is once again holding its annual event, Mindbrewing 2026. Now in its third edition following successful runs in 2023 and 2024, this year's event carries the theme "Two Weekends of Coffee, Curiosity & Connection." Through educational and interactive activities, the event brings together coffee lovers, professionals, and communities across two cities: Bandung on 18–19 September 2026 and Yogyakarta on 25–26 September 2026.

This year, Mindbrewing puts a special spotlight on Liberica and Excelsa — two coffee varieties still relatively rare on everyday coffee shop menus. By exploring these two varieties, Inspira Roasters invites coffee enthusiasts to discover distinct flavor characters and expand their experience beyond the more familiar Arabica and Robusta.

The Bandung leg of Mindbrewing 2026 kicked off on Friday, 18 September 2026 at 1:30 PM WIB with a Public Coffee Cupping session held at Monomono NOW. In this session, participants — a mix of professionals and coffee lovers — were guided through an interactive exploration of sensory characteristics, from aroma and acidity to flavor complexity, across six selected coffees: Liberica Boyolali Natural Mossto Process, Excelsa Wonosalam Natural Anaerobic Process, Arabica Sindoro Mossto Honey JB Coffee, Liberica Palasari, Excelsa Mount Halu, and the Special Inspira Blend.

The series continued that afternoon with a Bar Takeover by Rifqi Maulana, Runner-up of the UK Roasting Championship 2026. Behind the bar, Rifqi served three single-origin coffees resulting from experimental fermentation processes: Liberica Boyolali, Excelsa Wonosalam, and Arabica Sindoro.

The exploration and collaboration continued into the second day, Saturday, 19 September 2026, with a Bar Takeover by Imam Alfaqih, barista from Inspira Roasters Yogyakarta. This session marked the introduction of two cross-city blends: the Bandung Special Blend, combining Excelsa Wonosalam, Arabica Mount Halu, and Arabica Palasari, and the Jogja Special Blend, combining Liberica Boyolali and Arabica Kerinci.

For coffee lovers in Bandung and Yogyakarta looking to try both signature blends, the Inspira Bandung Special Blend and Inspira Jogja Special Blend are now officially available as limited-edition menu items at Inspira Roasters outlets in The Gaia Hotel Bandung and GAIA Cosmo Hotel Yogyakarta, from 18 September through 31 October 2026.
